Progress

I've gotten through most of the fiddly enamel painting of doors, windows, and frames.  This was slow work because it involved 3 coats of paint (1 primer, 2 topcoat) and lots of freehand painting along edges.  At this point the bedroom and living room are finished and ready for the floor work.  I've just finished painting the walls of the office and the skirting and overhead light must be installed.  Tomorrow I will begin painting the hallway and sitting room, which will take 2 or 3 days.

Tomorrow Paul Jr will visit to discuss work that he will do on Thursday and Friday.  We will discuss the tasks on my list and he will note materials that he will have to procure.   The task list is hefty, and includes the installation of 5 overhead lights, 3 GPO's, and lots of skirting boards and cornices (ie coping).   If things go well, by the weekend all rooms will be ready for the floor work, which I hope to begin next week.

Paul Sr, by the way, will have left England by now to visit a friend in the south of France for about 5 weeks.
