Bathroom Walls

The task of removing the bathroom walls as tougher and slower than I had expected.  One problem was that the underlying cement sheeting was nailed on in a different pattern than the large outer sheets glued and nailed on to it.  This prevented me in removing the entire sheets as one.  Instead I had to claw my way bit by bit.  Along the way I had to take time to disconnect and remove two fans and 1 light as well  as removing the copious amount of rubble.

Stripped walls with insulation showing
Exhaust fans removed

This is all to make excuses for managing to remove only two walls and most of a third one.

I spent the entire working day breathing though and industrial grade respirator, which was not pleasant but I must say left my respiratory system in great shape for the night.

The structural timber is in excellent shape, old but strong and reliable (just like me😇)

My goal for today is to strip out the rest of the wall lining and do a good cleanup.
