Paul and I were forced to remove about 3 sq meters of brick in order to access the sewer line and it was he who suggested that I have the brickwork reinstated by the same company that had laid the bricks three years earlier. That made sense to me because I would not have the skill and equipment to do justice to the quality of their work and besides I had had enough of bathroom renovation work.

| Expert restoration of the bricks |
Two weeks ago I visited ABM Landscaping with enough photographs, diagrams, and measurements to get a quotation for restoring the bricks that we had removed and building a new path between the corner of the house next to the fish pond and the granite steps leading to the garage and carport that I had built in 1995. The path would be 14 meters long, 1 meter wide, and would utilize bricks that I had obtained for free from Brenda and Stephen's neighbor across the street. I was given a verbal quotation of $700 and the work was scheduled for last Friday the 3rd of November.
The two men did an outstanding job. They arrived at 7.30 AM and by 2 PM their work was finished.
The verbal quotation was $700, which seems ridiculously low for the amount of work involved, and I won't complain if the invoice is higher.
