Another Step

This morning I woke to the smell of fresh bread just like the good old days.

I had no trouble finding a 5 kg bag of premixed flour for bread machines at the grocery store, which was a relief because in the USA bread machine premix seemed to come in small bags and was expensive.  The bread making machine was on the counter ready to go after I had retrieved it from the garage and given it a good clean (even though it had been stored in a sealed plastic container).  Last night I measured 1 kg of premix using an unused calibrated plastic container for mixing paint, added 400 ml of water, topped it with 1.5 tsp of yeast, then closed the lid and set the timer for 10 hours.  Easy.

For me it was another small step to normalcy.
