Visit from Electrician

Yesterday Darren Justice, the electrician, paid a visit with his apprentice Tom.  Now that the re cladding of the back wall had been completed his task was to restore the various switches and outlets.

Those electrical fittings must be rated for outdoors and after more than 35 years of service some of them were in bad shape.  The cover of the 5-switch box had broken off while I was away, exposing the switches to the weather, and another cover was held on by only one hinge.  I asked Clint to have Darren replace all of the fittings, and I would cover the extra cost.

I am very pleased with the result.  All of the switches are new, modern, weather rated, safe, and look good.

The 5 switches in the panel control the rear floodlights, north floodlight, waterfall pump, and back porch light.

This has got to be one of the best wired houses in Darlington.  I'm a maniac for light switches and power outlets and the results show it.  One day I'll count the number of outlets in the house, garage, and little shed in the back, and include the two 2-phase outlets for running a welder.
