The trio of Paul, Peter, and Neil made good progress on their second day of work (yesterday).
I took the opportunity to take photographs of the attic. The roof rafters are of 2x4" jarrah, from the age when 2x4" meant exactly that, and not less as in current times. The 2x1" battens that support the clay tiles will become redundant because the metal pieces will support the sheets of roofing and bypass the sags in the battens. The third attic shot sows a seriously broken support that I discovered several months after purchasing the house. I figured that if the roof had held up with that fracture to then it would last a few more years. That discovery was in 1975, about 38 years ago.
The other photographs speak for themselves.
