| Bedroom Window Sanded |
| Living Room Windows |
I will spend the next few days painting the windows and varnishing the skirting boards. The skirting boards are already in place in the bedroom, so I will varnish them in situ. Paul agreed that it made sense to fit the skirting boards of other rooms after the ceiling and walls have been painted, so I will put one coat of varnish on them then lay a second coat after they have been fitted.
Once the work on the windows and skirting boards has been completed I'll resume painting. At this point only the ceilings of the kitchen and bedroom have been painted. Everything else must be painted in the kitchen, bedroom, living room, and hallway. I figure that the painting effort will take about 8 working days.
Colour selection currently is as follows:
- Kitchen and hallway walls, Dulux "Pollinate Quarter", a light cream
- Bedroom walls , Dulux "Bunny Soft Quarter", a slight pink (Don't blame me, I didn't name it.)
- Bedroom windows, Dulux "Unbleached Calico Quarter", a light cream
- Office walls, Dulux "Mountain Spring Quarter", a light green

I will see Paul only briefly next week. He'll do some final work on the living room and hallway at which point he will have completed is wall and ceiling renovations in 4 rooms, with 2 to go. We will settle his latest account and discuss the next stage of the work, which will be the second bedroom (to be the office) and the sitting room next to the dining room. I am hoping to leave for the Bunbury Cruise with the office bare and stripped, ready for Paul work. Hopefully that room will be ready for painting when I return.
In am including a photo of some fine repair work that Paul did in the living room floor. There was a big oval hole in one of the floor boards where a patch done by the original builder had given way. Paul said that he would repair it and he was true to his word. The result is a patch that is strong and difficult for a casual eye to see.
Wow! your house is getting better. Bet it costs you lots of money to get it done. Have a good sailing trip with Brenda.
